The Southern Arizona Chapter of the ACFE was chartered in August of 2014.
On June 5, 2014, Southern Arizona CFEs met to form a local chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
With your help we can grow a prosperous and beneficial chapter for everyone in the Southern Arizona Community.

Southern Arizona Chapter membership applications are for the current calendar year. All future renewals will take place in January of each year.
Membership is subject to approval by the Chapter Board of Directors. The information you provide in this application may be printed in a Southern Arizona Chapter of the ACFE Directory and will be included in the Members Only section of this website.
Annual dues for the Southern Arizona Chapter do not include annual dues for the National Association. If you would like to join the National Association please visit www.acfe.com.
President: The President shall be the chief executive officer of the Chapter, and when present, shall preside at all meetings of the Chapter. He or she shall exercise general supervision and management of the affairs of the Chapter; shall consult with and inform other officers and directors, members, and the Corporation of significant events; shall make an annual report to the members of the Chapter and the Corporation; and shall perform other duties prescribed by the Board of Directors as well as all duties incident to the office of President and chief executive officer. Bylaws, Section 7.07
Vice President: The Vice President shall report to the President and shall assume the duties of the President in his or her absence. When the Vice President acts in place of the President, the Vice President shall have all the powers of and be subject to all the restrictions upon the President. The Vice President shall be responsible for other duties that President or the Board of Directors shall delegate from time to time. Bylaws, Section 7.08
Secretary/Treasurer:The Secretary/Treasurer shall report to the President and shall keep the minutes of the meetings of the members and of the Board of Directors; see that all notices are given in accordance with the provisions of these Bylaws or as may be required by law; be custodian of the corporate records and of the seal of the Chapter and see that the seal of the Chapter is affixed to all documents as authorized; and in general perform all duties incident to the office of Secretary/Treasurer and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned by the President or by the Board of Directors. The Secretary/Treasurer shall report to the Board and shall be responsible for all financial records maintained by the Chapter. The Secretary/Treasurer shall have experience in using the accounting software currently used by the Chapter. All moneys received by the Chapter as well as disbursements therefrom, shall be the responsibility of the Secretary/Treasurer. He or she will ensure that any funds received are properly deposited for safekeeping tot he credit of the Chapter; that all disbursements are properly approved; that the Board is kept advised of the status of the accounting of funds; and otherwise performs appropriate duties to see that the assets of the Chapter are properly safeguarded. The Secretary/Treasurer shall produce annual financial statements of the Chapter and submit them to the Board and the Corporation within three months of the end of the Chapter's fiscal year, and in general shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be assigned by the Board of Directors . Eligibility to Hold Office:
All members of the Chapter Board of Directors and Officers of the Chapter shall be Certified Fraud Examiners, and shall have been members in good standing of the Southern Arizona Chapter for the year prior to their election to the Board, as well as members in good standing of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Associate Members, Affiliate Members and Student Members are not eligible to hold any Director or Officer position in the Southern Arizona Chapter. Bylaws, Article III
Eligibility to Vote:
Certified Fraud Examiner Members, Associate Members and Honorary Lifetime Members are eligible to vote in Southern Arizona Chapter Elections. Bylaws, Article III
Affiliate Members and Student Members are not eligible to vote in Chapter elections. Bylaws, Article III
The Southern Arizona Chapter of the ACFE strongly supports students interested in fraud deterrence and detection.
We offer Student Associate memberships to the Southern Arizona Chapter; however, you must first be Student Associate members of the ACFE. According to the ACFE website, Student Associate membership is open to undergraduate students enrolled at least 9 semester hours (or equivalent) or graduate students enrolled at least 6 semester hours (or equivalent), in a college or university or equivalent.
